I took some time off this month to recharge.
A couple of weeks ago I got on a plane and landed in the US. I embarked on a small journey, a road trip across Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
What can I say? It was fantastic. I really enjoyed the natural landscape and appreciated the time off. I have been to some amazing places, and I’m definitely recharged!
When I was in Denver I finally had the opportunity to meet with my friend David Ritter in person for drinks.
David is working on something great at Privacy Lock, where they offer privacy compliance automation for financial services companies.
They have innovated a way to operationalize compliance with consumer privacy laws without collecting or processing any consumer data. Privacy Lock can significantly reduce compliance costs while increasing consumer trust.
Privacy laws are a hot topic nowadays, so I can advise every company or startup in the FinTech/Financial/Banking industry to take an audit and see what kind of impact this will have on your business.
And when you do, just reach out to me so I can get you a privacy audit for your data systems to identify vulnerabilities, free of charge!
Now that my trip through the US is coming to an end, I’m in New York for a few more days to attend the NY FinTech Week and meet with some friends and business partners. Unfortunately, my schedule is packed for the upcoming week, so I won’t be able to schedule any more meetings, but I’ll be back in The Big City soon!
I’ll be back in the US in May, first for Finovate in San Francisco from May 18th until May 20 and Lendit in NYC the week after on May 25 and May 26.
Shoot me a message if you want to meet up around those dates in the Bay Area or New York.
I’m looking forward to meeting with you in person!
Enjoy your Sunday and talk soon!
Cheers,
Marcel.
